This week we have now information from six peregrine nests within the Pittsburgh space: Pitt’s Cathedral of Studying, Downtown, East Liberty Presbyterian Church, Sewickley Bridge, Tarentum Bridge, and Westinghouse Bridge.

Cathedral of Studying, Univ of Pittsburgh:

The Pitt peregrine chicks are 21 to 24 days previous immediately. As they develop up, Carla makes positive everybody will get his/her justifiable share of meals. She fills up the massive sisters first, then focuses on the smallest chick (most likely male). If a pushy large sister snatches the little man’s meals, I’ve seen Carla take it again and provides it to him.

Yesterday’s two-minute timelapse reveals the “youngsters” sleeping, consuming commonly, and roaming the nestbox gravel. Their wing and tail feathers are coming in properly. Watch them on the Nationwide Aviary falconcam on the College of Pittsburgh’s Cathedral of Studying.
