Seen This Week: Many Bugs

This was actually the week for bugs, particularly on Thursday when chilly temperatures made them sluggish. Listed here are a couple of that I’ve seen this week, a few of which I can’t determine.

At prime, what moth is that this at Frick Park on Thursday? Google Lens offers so many solutions that I’m not positive which one to choose.

Under, not-a-moth that is an end-banded netwing beetle (Calopteron terminale). Most, however not all photographs, present a black band within the center too.

An outdated spider internet is draped like a curtain on a twig and stinging nettle in Frick Park.

After I received again to my automobile there was a weevil on the window (sure, my automobile is soiled). I don’t know what species.

Aphids have been sucking the juices out of Schenley Park’s false sunflowers for a couple of month now. Our abnormally dry climate makes the crops much less juicy.
