The Agriculture and Horticulture Growth Board (AHDB) has appointed Mark Haighton as its new pork sector director, taking on from Angela Christison.
Bringing over 25 years’ expertise within the pig sector, Mr Haighton started his profession as a livestock purchaser at Geo Adams & Sons earlier than shifting to Tulip, Pilgrim’s UK and latterly Sofina Meals, gaining first-hand perception throughout the availability chain.
He has additionally contributed extensively to trade governance, serving 13 years on the Purple Tractor Pig Sector Board and over six years on the AHDB Pork Sector Council.
