A Trickle of Fall Warblers & Concern of Lacking Out

24 August 2025

Warbler migration has not heated up but within the Pittsburgh space however a trickle of fall warblers has been engaging. Sewickley Heights Park is at all times glorious from late August by way of September so once we heard {that a} golden-winged warbler had been seen there final Tuesday, six of us went to seek out it on Thursday morning. No luck. It was drizzling. We noticed hardly any birds.

Yesterday’s information from Sewickley Heights Park was much more tantalizing. Adrian Fenton, Zach Vaughn (see his Instagram photographs above) and Steve Gosser noticed as much as 9 warbler species, although normally solely one among every. Finest birds had been a Canada and a Wilson’s warbler seen by Steve Gosser.

This morning Charity Kheshgi and I are going to strive for them. Now we have an intense Concern of Lacking Out (FOMO). We even have hope as a result of BirdCast’s maps and statistics present that migration out and in of Pittsburgh was minimal final evening. Perhaps these birds will nonetheless be there as we speak. Fingers crossed.

When you’ve got Warbler FOMO too, begin checking birdcast.information every single day for as much as the minute and historic fall migration information.
