The American Affiliation of Swine Veterinarians Basis (AASVF) continues its dedication to advancing manufacturing animal welfare by means of the Angela Baysinger Memorial Scholarship — an annual award recognizing college students devoted to enhancing welfare throughout animal industries.
This scholarship honors the legacy of Dr. Angela Baysinger, a revered chief who championed collaboration, science-based welfare practices, and mentorship in veterinary drugs. The award helps experiential studying alternatives for the subsequent technology of veterinarians and scientists targeted on manufacturing animal welfare.
Every year, one pupil demonstrating a robust ardour for welfare in manufacturing animals will obtain $5,000 to advance their training and hands-on expertise. Scholarship funds could be utilized towards analysis mission prices, convention journey, or different experiential studying alternatives that increase understanding and sensible abilities in welfare science.
Eligible candidates embody veterinary college students, graduate college students, residents, or interns enrolled in North American faculties of veterinary drugs or associated tutorial applications.
