Fledge Watch Information and Now an Empty Nest

Yesterday at Pitt Peregrine Fledge Watch the climate was stunning and so have been the peregrines.

After we arrived at 4:30pm two juveniles have been on the nestrail: the male (Inexperienced Boy) and one feminine (Yellow Lady). Discover their dimension distinction!

We found out which feminine was topside by noting Blue tape on the chook within the nestbox. She exercised her wings lots.

In the meantime on the nestrail, one of many juvies walked all the best way to the best to perch above the nestbox.

The second juvie flapped and ran to the righthand aspect — utilizing the nestrail like a runway — and was available for Ecco’s meals supply. (Discover the excited wings-open on that juvie!)

Down within the nestbox Blue Lady missed out. Her mother and father have been delivering meals to the nestrail, not to the nest, so she would come topside.

Blue was nonetheless down there when Inexperienced Boy got here for a go to at 7:25pm and found the enjoyable of climbing the snapcam wall.

This morning Blue was accomplished with feeling neglected. At 6:38am she climbed as much as the nestrail …

… and now the nest is empty.
