Seen Final Week in Colorado

27 April 2025

Final week I missed an inflow of migrating warblers that arrived in Pittsburgh however I noticed a whole lot of birds and surroundings in Colorado together with 14 Life Birds.

Flowers: Colorado could be very dry so a lot of the flowers we noticed had been small. The flower with probably the most pizzazz was the brilliant crimson Northern Indian paintbrush, above.

Our group totaled 17 individuals in two vans. The primary van was a birding group from Switzerland, all of them photographers. Many birds had been new to them in order that they took a whole lot of pictures. Right here we’re observing night grosbeaks.

  • Completely shaped remoted “lump” hills close to Fountain, Colorado
  • Mesa with sandy erosion deposits that make it look as if the mesa was constructed by bulldozers and dump vans.
  • Promontory at Coal Canyon Trailhead. A bit on the prime is able to fall. Be careful beneath!
  • Utah-Colorado border highway. Utah is ungrazed on the left. Colorado is grazed by cattle on the best. At this web site Utah has much more birds.
