Seen This Week: Flowers, Leaves and Storm Injury

On Monday and earlier than 5pm on Tuesday, spring was continuing as regular although heat in Pittsburgh. I took photographs of flowers and bushes and leaves.

  • Blue violets
  • Pawpaw flowers and the beginnings of leaves
  • Pink maple leaves and samaras.

Then on Tuesday simply after 5:00pm a line storm with derecho winds hit Pittsburgh and worn out bushes and energy strains. Many bushes had been merely snapped off as these proven under in Schenley Park yesterday.

Pittsburgh Public Works began sawing their approach into the park. The highest of the hemlock was one of many first to chop because it was blocking the entry street.
