Sit, keep, and save lives with feline first help course throughout Emergency Preparedness Month


Whitby, ON (April 24, 2025) – Are you ready in case your pet has a medical emergency? With Emergency Preparedness Month developing in Could, the Humane Society of Durham Area invitations anybody who has a cat to affix a feline first help and CPR course.

On Could 10 from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. in Whitby, there shall be a full-day feline first help and CPR course, led by Hoof n Woof Pet First Support. Members will be taught sensible abilities to deal with emergencies, together with:

• Fundamental care and prevention
• Belly thrusts for choking
• CPR/mouth-to-nose resuscitation
• Dealing with damaged bones/tail accidents
• Recognizing feline leukemia signs
• Figuring out bladder infections and ache
• Understanding diabetes in cats
• Cat-safe medicines

A portion of the registration payment shall be donated to the Humane Society of Durham Area to assist shelter and care of animals in want. A registered charity that doesn’t obtain annual authorities funding, the Humane Society of Durham Area depends upon the generosity of donors to vary the lives of animals in want. The Humane Society of Durham Area

The Humane Society of Durham Area is a registered charity. For over 30 years, the HSDR has been devoted to defending and offering compassionate take care of undesirable and abused animals in Durham Area till they discover their perpetually houses.
