August 22, 2024 – The World Surroundings Heart (WEC) has obtained an extra $2.5 million in funding from the U.S. Division of State to develop its work constructing the capability of girls entrepreneurs all through Central America on inexperienced tasks. The extra $2.5 million will complement the present $3.5 million of the Empower Innovation Problem (EIC) challenge and can enable WEC to help the financial improvement of sustainable tasks by specializing in ladies entrepreneurs by the Local weather Innovation Problem (CIC), which can present grants to micro, small- and medium-sized enterprises (MSMEs) led by ladies and underserved populations in Central America. This initiative is funded by the U.S. Division of State (DoS) by the Secretary’s Workplace of International Girls’s Points (S/GWI) 2021 International Fairness and Equality Motion (GEEA) Fund and carried out by the Bureau of Western Hemisphere Affairs Coverage Planning Coordination Workplace (WHA/PPC). Facilitated by collaboration with Núcleo de Biotecnología de Curauma (NBC), Baastel and La RED Innovación e Impacto, the EIC will function three cohorts of funded organizations, with the ultimate cohort to be introduced in 2025.
